What can you expect from one day off, working class? A short escape. After 6 days working, then I tried to give it a shot. It was Sunday and it’s time for “Pihnik, Boi!”*.
We planned to catch Bukit Moko before sunrise. Then we went from Setiabudhi at 05.00 am by riding motorbike. It took 30 minutes to catch Bukit Moko. Can you believe that we woke up at 04.00 am (on Sunday)?! Ha ha ha.
We enjoyed the transition from the dark to bright, from Bandung city light to twilight until we covered up by the sun light. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t quite clear. Otherwise, it made Bandung amazingly dramatic from the heights while covered up by the misty fogs.
Apparently, the best time to enjoy Bukit Moko is during the darkest stage of twilight in the evening (dusk). If you’d like to enjoy Bandung city light, you may come after dark or before the dawn during the beginning of the twilight before sunrise.
There is no entrance fee to visit Bukit Moko but we have to buy food or drink instead at the one and only “warung” at Bukit Moko named Warung Daweung. Parking fee at IDR 2000 for a motorbike.
What to eat: Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Pisang Bakar, etc.
What to drink: coffee, tea, milk, beer, etc.
And then…. Gear up! Here they are what we got for you.
Here’s why I called it the Natural Look Out Post to Parahyangan.
We can also see Tangkuban Parahu and Burangrang from here.
Sunshine was appearing approximately at 08.00 am.
Next to Bukit Moko there is a Pine Forest. This covers the sunrise, so the sunshine appears on the back.
Last but not least, don’t forget to bring your camera and take some pictures.
*Pihnik derived from word Piknik (Picnic -en.), Sundanese in some region pronounce it as “pihnik”.
Reblogged this on traverse little universe.
